Station 33 Handles Two Simultaneous Calls

Thu, Feb 11th, 2010 6:10:00 pm - This afternoon, Lower Paxton Twp. Units were dispatched for a report of an odor of smoke in the PNC bank at the intersection of East Park Drive and Union Deposit Road.  As units were arriving and investigating the odor, another call came in for an accident with injuries on I83 in the area of the Jonestown Road interchange.  Rescue Engine 33-1 and Truck 34 diverted from the bank to investigate the accident.  Crews at the bank determined the smoke to be coming from a malfunctioning light ballast and put the box in service.  Crews on the interstate found an accident with injuries and assisted EMS with patient removal.

Within the next half hour, Company 33 was sent out two more times to assist PD with fluids on the roadway and for a gas leak in the Williamsburg Estates Apartment complex.
